A Scenic Ride Through Forest Trails and Lakeside Views My wife and I set off on an e-bike ride to Waskesiu Lake, marking our first cycling adventure through forest trails and along the water. It was also our first time truly exploring nature together on e-bikes—a ride that turned out to be far more memorable than we expected. Perfect Weather for an E-Bike Ride The conditions could not have been better. Clear blue skies stretched above us, the air was fresh and cool, and sunlight filtered gently through the trees. Thanks to the electric assist, the ride felt smooth and relaxed, allowing us to focus less on effort and more on the experience around us. Riding Through the Forest As we followed the trail, we were surrounded by tall, lush pine trees. The forest felt alive—squirrels darted across the path, birds moved between branches, and the scent of pine filled the air. The e-bikes handled the forest terrain with ease, making the ride comfortable and steady even on longer stretches. Back then, I was ranked #2 among female BMX riders in the region. Every race, every push to the limit, carried a sense of freedom and challenge that only cycling can bring. Those days were exhilarating, and the thrill of competition shaped my love for the sport. Fast forward to today, and my cycling journey has taken on a new form. I’m no longer chasing medals or rankings; now, it’s about the joy of each ride, the simple pleasure of exploring the world on two wheels. I’m 65 years old and have been working as a multimedia designer for many years.
